I think the poem is about how the worm has two different personalities and that how he could only come out at night because he was invisible in light .
I think the poem means life is the same no matter what you are. Every one and thing has a meaning weather its a worm that fertilizes the soil or is a bee to collect pollen but there is always someone running the place
ok so the poem is bascially telling me that two people are falling for each other but in the day light something always happenes but in the night its good and everything.
